The Penguin Plunge is all about family, after all, when a child has a serious medical condition, the whole family is affected. That is why any of our recipients are always part of our Penguin Family. In that vein, we are honored to announce this year's Guest Bartender Family Challenge Event at Growler and Gill, Craft Beer Shoppe, 148 Route 59, Nanuet, NY 10954 on Sunday November 18 from 3-7pm. We have some of the most fun families in Rockland serving up craft beer, wine,and soda to benefit the 2019 Penguin Plunge children:  Riley Reynolds and Kieran O'Neill. We also have some wonderfully talented local musicians who will be performing in this family friendly atmosphere. So please come for the music, the craft beer, the food, the terrific raffles and to benefit some wonderful families who could use your support. We are looking to see which of our sets of bartenders raise the most in tips GAME ON!!! as all cash and check tips go to benefit the Penguin Plunge and specifically Riley and Kieran.

Riley is a spirited two and half year old from West Nyack who was born with a condition where the bones in her skull fuse prematurely, causing problems with brain growth and head shape. Riley has already had seven surgeries and will need more surgery when she regains her strength from her past ordeals. Kieran, nine, from Pearl River , was diagnosed with autism five years ago after a bout with back to back strep infections.  He has since been diagnosed with PANDAS, a pediatric neuropsychiatric disorder that requires many treatments that are not covered by insurance.

We are thankful for the bartenders, the musicians, the sponsors, and the Growler and Gill for making this event possible. In the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, we are so grateful for your support in the past and for our 2019 kids. We hope to see you on Sunday, at other (warmer) fund raising events and of course at Memorial Park in Nyack on March 3, 2019!
